The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligningbusiness objectives with employees and management campus-wide. TheHRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to delivervalue-added service to management and employees that reflects thebusiness objectives of the organization. This position isresponsible for administrative functions within the Human ResourcesDepartment, to include strategic oversight for recruiting andtalent management initiatives. The HRBP maintains an effectivelevel of business literacy about the business unit's financialposition, its midrange plans, its culture and itscompetition.Responsibilities:• Oversight of the employee life-cycle to include the recruitmentprocess for staff, faculty and student positions in a timely andsuccessful manner• Management of the employee exit process• Initiate communications and respond to employee inquiriesrelated to payroll, benefits and general HR matters.• Partner with Assistant Director of HRIS to troubleshoot issuesin the Workday system• Oversight and support of special projects and/or events such astraining programs, annual benefits enrollment, performanceevaluations, employee recognition, etc.• Perform data analysis and reporting to provide insights for HRprograms and solutions• Assist with training and career development opportunities• Partner with HR leadership on policy creation and revision• Campus Security Authority (CSA)• Other duties as assignedRequirements:• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related fieldrequired• Minimum 5–8 years of experience required in area of expertisepreferred• Previous progressive HR experience preferred• Previous experience in Higher Education preferred• Previous Workday experience preferred• SHRM certification preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailEqual OpportunityFlorida Tech does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability,genetic information, age, pregnancy, parenting status, veteranstatus or retirement status in its activities and programs.
