Job Description

A/R analysts are customer service specialists who work with community directors and portfolio managers in a specified portfolio of communities to ensure accurate recording of day-to-day activity, evaluating and processing forfeitures, and compiling month-end reports for the accounting department.

  1. Accounts Receivable
    1. Evaluating and completing move out dispositions to ensure they are true and correct
    2. Correcting misapplied payments from one ledger to another
    3. Bank corrections received from GL Accountant
    4. Posting housing deposits and manual check deposits as needed
    5. Preparing month end financial reports -
    6. Auditing Bank Deposits
    7. Mailing out refund checks
    8. Assisting other A/R Analysts as needed
    9. Comply with all FPI policies and procedures
    10. Comply with Fair Housing Laws
    11. Troubleshooting
    12. Training/assisting site staff
    13. Liaison between site staff and GL accountants
    14. Speaking with sites professionally via phone and email
    15. Yardi & RealPage - our primary software system
  2. Other
    1. Consistently and fairly enforce community rules and regulations, FPI Standard Operating Procedures  
    2. Comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies and procedures
    3. Promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy. 
    4. Conduct displayed must be of a professional manner when communicating with employees, residents, prospective residents, clients, vendors, and guests while representing FPI Management.
    5. Perform any and all functions as directed by the supervisor, including special project assistance
  • Responsible for meeting all training requirements for the position (Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI’s Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • Good Judgment, go getter, and be able to make good decisions
  • Time management - ability to multitask/switch gears quickly
  •  Attention to detail
  • Be extremely organized
  • Patience
  • Ability to analyze and respond to new issues
  • Work well under pressure
  • Strong work ethic
