Senior Product Designer, Coach Crew

About GameChanger:

We believe in youth sports' life-changing impact on and off the field. Sports encourage leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence—important life lessons that have the power to propel our youth toward meaningful futures. We recognize that without coaches, parents, and volunteers, organized youth sports could not exist. By building the first and best place to experience the youth sports moments important to our community, we are helping families elevate the next generation through youth sports.

So if you love sports and their community-building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a remote-first, dynamic tech company based in New York City, solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.

The Position:

As a Senior Product Designer on the Coach Crew team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful experiences for coaches and coverage creators. You are knowledgeable about sports and interested in driving outcomes at the intersection of creative and business value. The role demands problem-solving, thoughtful execution, and the ambition to take projects from start to finish in a young team. You must be energized by the idea of achieving our ambitious goals with your teammates in product, engineering, and marketing. You're a critical thinker with an innovative approach to making products simple enough for anyone to understand and use.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process and ship experiences across mobile and web platforms.

  • Partner with cross-functional peers to influence the product through a user-centered approach.

  • Work iteratively to define problems and quickly find solutions.

  • Speak with customers frequently, collect insights, test assumptions, and translate research takeaways into meaningful outcomes.

  • Craft intuitive design flows, sketches, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for mobile and web.

  • Help evolve and grow the design practice at GameChanger. Contribute to our design system, be vocal in design critiques, share inspirational resources, and aid in brainstorms.

  • Question the status quo and advocate for change.

Who You Are:

  • You have knowledge and an interest in sports.

  • You've been designing user-centered experiences for at least five years.

  • You've designed and shipped native iOS and Android apps.

  • Your portfolio isn't just high-fidelity mockups; it showcases impact, processes, sketches, collaboration, and reflection. You have at least two detailed case studies.

  • You've taken large problems and broken them down into bite-sized measurable chunks.

  • You have experience conducting user research, facilitating user interviews and user tests, digging through behavioral data, and synthesizing findings to identify trends and make recommendations.

  • You advocate for design by articulating and presenting the rationale behind your ideas.

  • You care about moving your team forward and look for ways to positively impact the team, not just the product.

  • You're focused on results and constantly looking to improve the user experience.

  • You take the time to seek out and provide meaningful feedback because you know it's the best way to grow.

  • You are self-aware and humble.

Perks:

  • Work remotely throughout the US* or from our well-furnished, modern office in Manhattan, NY.

  • Unlimited vacation policy.

  • Paid volunteer opportunities.

  • WFH stipend - $500 annually to make your WFH situation comfortable.

  • Snack stipend - $60 monthly to have snacks shipped to your home office.

  • Full health benefits - medical, dental, vision, prescription, FSA/HRA., and coverage for family/dependents.

  • Disability leave - short-term disability and long-term disability.

  • Retirement savings - 401K plan offered through Vanguard, with a company match.
