DevOps Engineer

Gathern is looking for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of our software products and services.

In this role, you will collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. You will automate processes, manage infrastructure, and oversee the deployment and release cycles. You will also monitor and troubleshoot system issues, contribute to continuous integration and delivery, and implement best practices for efficient and reliable software development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth and efficient software development processes.
• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Automate processes and workflows using DevOps tools and frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
• Manage and monitor infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
• Continuously improve deployment and release cycles for faster and more reliable software delivery.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement necessary fixes.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps and cloud technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps or a similar role
• Strong experience with cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
