The Student Center is seeking (1) Event Support Services Assistant to join the already awesome team taking them to the next level of excellence! Use diagrams, worksheets, and other resources to ensure events are set up as customer requests and are not breaking any fire or building codes. Assist in other furniture or equipment moving as needed in offices or other Student Center managed spaces. Assist the Event Services Support Coordinator in maintaining inventory of equipment. Ensure that the storage areas are organized and clean. Recommend when equipment needs to be repaired or replaced. Attend event coordination and other departmental meetings. Provide general maintenance for event support equipment. Assist with maintenance on other common furniture in food courts and lounge areas. Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Degree in Hospitality or related field is preferred. Preferred Hiring Qualifications: Post high school education or training. Experience in service/ event / conference / educational facility support and set up. Basic level of computer literacy. Customer Service experience. Experience in service/ conference / educational facility support. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and move heavy equipment safely with assistance. Must be able to use computer equipment and software tools related to event set up. College/Business Unit: Student Services Department: Student Center Location: Atlanta Campus Shift: 7:00 am– 3:45 pm M-F, with some flexible hours and weekends.
