The Sr. HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employees Relations, HR Operations, Compensation, Performance Management, System Maintenance, Compliance, etc.
SR. HR GENERALIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Gersh Organization is on the lookout for a passionate Sr. Human Resource Generalist who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to making a difference in the lives of children on the autism spectrum. In this role, you'll juggle a variety of responsibilities from employee relations to HR operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly across our Long Island City and Brooklyn locations. Your days will be filled with engaging activities like conducting interviews, participating in disciplinary meetings, and weaving your way through complex employee inquiries, all while maintaining the utmost confidentiality and discretion. You'll be the go-to person for advising management on HR policies and procedures, helping to navigate employment-related challenges, and fostering a supportive workplace culture. Plus, your role will involve onboarding new hires and conducting orientation sessions, giving you a chance to set the stage for their success at Gersh. With 5-6+ years of HR generalist experience under your belt, you’re not just adaptable to change; you thrive on it, juggling multiple priorities with a smile. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, along with highly developed communication skills that help you connect with colleagues at all levels.
