Fabrication Engineer - Physical Builds

Responsibilities
  • Lead, plan, organize and control the Physical Build activities in close cooperation with the project team and PME within Product Development projects.
  • Support the organization on planning, coordination and follow-up of build and test activities on projects
  • Secure a good status between systems and physical test objects according to project frame.
  • Manage projects or subprojects with limited complexity within a program or portfolio, from initiation to completion.
  • Have full responsibility for defining and managing scope, cost, schedule, quality and risks - and to deliver on agreed project objectives.
  • Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
  • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs. 
  • Travel to client sites required. 


Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
  • Experience using CAD tools (Creo preferred).
  • Hands on use and understanding of fabrication processes  
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicular anatomy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
