Position Summary:
As the Director of Delivery at Gorilla Logic, you will be a crucial leader, ensuring the seamless delivery of projects, fostering client relationships, and leading our talented team of delivery managers and consultants. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align delivery practices with the company's goals, ensuring high-quality standards and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for overseeing project lifecycles, from initiation to closure, while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management:
*Provide leadership to the Delivery and Senior Delivery Managers team, motivating them to achieve Gorilla Logic’s strategic goals.
*Oversee career development and performance management for your team.
*Offer timely feedback, focusing on coaching and mentoring your management team.
*Manage your team's compensation, promotions, and recognition.
*Establish strong connections with consultants, performing skip level 1:1s, and ensuring alignment with Gorilla Logic’s strategic objectives.
*Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
*Collaborate with other departments to develop policies, processes, and procedures to enhance our employee experience.
*Oversee the career development process, suggesting enhancements to ensure progression.
*Serve as an escalation point for any people management issues within the department and help to find solutions.
Client Management:
*Act as the first layer of escalation contact for clients regarding Delivery.
*Assist Delivery Managers and Senior Delivery Managers in ensuring successful delivery by Gorilla Logic teams.
*Oversee Gorilla Logic’s overall delivery strategy for clients under your program.
*Partner with other departments to design and package different types of engagements (Staff Aug, Solutions, Defined Scope) to meet client requirements.
*Build rapport with strategic and growth clients' stakeholders to align high-level objectives.
*Participate in key stakeholder meetings such as QBRs and client check-ins.
*Be accountable for the satisfaction of clients’ delivery under your program.
Delivery:
*Design and oversee KPIs and metrics for the Delivery Management team to highlight performance and business value.
*Monitor high-level client roadmaps, milestones, and delivery health through your team of managers.
*Extensive experience driving large-scale, complex global change initiatives and programs to a successful implementation.
*Experienced with problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision-making, documentation, managing client expectations, and team leadership.
*Actively resolve escalations by planning and leading mitigation strategies or seeking realistic solutions.
*Serve as an escalation point and decision-maker for staffing, resource swaps, roll-offs, backfills, and transition plans.
*Oversee financial management for accounts, making sound decisions on resource allocation and ensuring profitability.
*Ensure timely renewals and contracts while aiding the organization in making financially sound decisions.
*Oversee time-tracking tools to ensure seamless operations.
Gorilla Logic Leadership:
*Propose and design delivery management processes and systems for continuous improvement through internal initiatives, and partnering with other departments.
*Develop metrics and data models to drive recommendations that accelerate decisions.
*Assist the Senior Vice President of Delivery in setting the Delivery Management strategy to fulfill Gorilla Logic’s goals.
*Lead, plan, and oversee internal initiatives to ensure quarterly goal completion.
*Help the SVP build specific requests for external clients, such as RFPs and RFIs.
*Be part of the Client Services Team leadership, ensuring clients’ needs are fulfilled.
Technology Overview:
*Understand technical concepts related to cloud engineering, data, AI, software development, quality assurance, and agile delivery.
*Debrief on how consultants use technology to solve client needs.
*Ensure delivery quality and health in project components.
*Research and learn technical aspects to identify issues and escalate them appropriately.Confidently interact with internal and external technical stakeholders, relating how technology enables Gorilla Logic to solve clients’ business needs.
Requirements:
*10+ years working in the software industry.
*6+ years in client management.
*6+ years in people management with experience in hiring, retention, and performance management.
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or equivalent technical expertise.
*Solid technical background with a good grasp of modern software development methodologies and technologies.
*Data/metrics-oriented with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
*Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
*Experience working directly with customers.
