What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will collect, transform, integrate, and analyze data to identify trends, assess performance, develop visualizations in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for human resources programs for our national security and federal law enforcement clients.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:
Support business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership via dashboards and reports
Analyze and interpret business problems and issues using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources.
Identify and analyze trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations in order to support business decisions .
Contribute to reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
Communicate findings and insight to peers and mid-level management .
Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements .
Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives .
Utilize Power BI and other analytic tools for data visualization and business intelligence (BI) .
Deliver client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
Bachelor's Degree
FIVE (5) or more years of professional experience in data analytics
Proficiency in Python and/or PowerBI dashboard development
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multi-task projects
Strong organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills

What Would Be Nice To Have:
B.S. or B.A. in a quantitative field (e.g., data analytics, mathematics, statistics, computer science)
Experience documenting requirements, creating functional specifications, technical user guides, and preparing wireframes/flowcharts
Experience with HR data analytics and reporting.
Experience with Power Apps
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
Ability to manage multi-task projects
