Discovery Management Associate

Job Title:  Junior Litigation Paralegal (Discovery Management Associate)


Department: Family Litigation, Discovery Management


Office: Century City


Description of role: Gursey | Schneider is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual who will work integrally with litigation professionals at all levels to contribute to the discovery management shared service team. This role allows for professional growth and career progression.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist in reviewing, organizing, and categorizing financial, legal, corporate, real estate, and other documents for importation and metadata entry into G|S’ proprietary document management software.
  • Summarize and reconcile formal discovery requests and responses, including document productions, Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, and Requests for Admissions.
  • Assist with settlement conference and trial preparation by organizing reports, preparation of work paper files, and exhibit lists.
  • Liaison with clients, attorneys, and their paralegals to send and receive large document productions using secure Sharefile links.
  • Meet with senior associates, managers, and partners to discuss case details and objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications and Skill/Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2+ years of legal, litigation, or paralegal experience within a professional setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Strong proactive work ethic, follow through, and punctuality.
  • Forward-thinking attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to take direction and work well with others.
  • Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office.
  • Reasonable commuting distance to the Century City office (hybrid in-office/work-from-home schedule)


Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with:
  • Legal language, acronyms, and court pleadings.
  • Prior internship or paralegal or work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position.
  • Certificate of an ABA-approved paralegal certification program.


$60,000 - $75,000 a year
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $60,000-$75,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
