Apply today for our Oncology Registered Nurse opportunity.Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.This is a full-time, day shift (7am-7pm) position on our state-of-the-art, 30 bed 4th Floor Medical Oncology unit offering specialized care for our patients with a diagnosis of cancer.What you will do in this role:• You will maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients• You will manage efficient flow of patient care including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care and comfort, and arranging for admissions, testing and discharges• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results• You will administer medicationsin accordance withphysician orders• You will instruct patients and familiesregardingmedications and treatmentplans• You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)What qualifications you may need:• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associates Degree in Nursing or higher is required• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is requiredTrident Health is a 445-bed HCA Healthcare hospital system comprised of two acute care hospitals, Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center and three freestanding emergency departments, Brighton Park Emergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center and Centre Pointe Emergency.We provide care to nearly 375,000 South Carolina Low country residents each year.
