Staff Accountant

HealPros works with Health Insurance Plans to help them find and address critical health issues faced by their member population. Our team primarily serves aging members who have one or more chronic condition and helps them access the care they need, in a way that is most convenient for them – whether in their homes, remotely or in their communities.


Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of HealPros. This individual will be responsible for handling accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and inventory audits. The role ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and supports the smooth operation of the organization.


Staff Accountant Responsibilities
  • Process and verify invoices for accuracy and approval.
  • Reconcile vendor & contractors accounts and manage payment schedules.
  • Ensure proper coding and recording of expenses.
  • Reconcile & synchronize multiple payment software applications.
  • Verify, reconcile, and upload credit card charges.
  • Prepare and submit customer invoices and invoice details and address customer questions.
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Record and reconcile incoming payments in QuickBooks.
  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Submit workers compensation pay to workers compensation partner.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and conduct audits.
  • Assist in month-end close processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, supporting schedules, department reclassification, journal entries & historical analysis.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.


Staff Accountant Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, inventory management & financial statement preparation & analysis.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Advanced Excel experience, including pivot tables and record duplication formulas.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
