North Carolina Hillel is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and visionary Rabbi & Senior Jewish Educator to join our team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This groundbreaking role will allow you to enrich the lives of Jewish students across eight campuses and shape the future of Jewish life in our vibrant community. As our first statewide Rabbi, your primary responsibility will be to craft a cohesive Jewish educational vision that enhances students’ experiences with Hillel. Imagine the impact you’ll have as you pilot innovative Jewish learning initiatives, co-facilitate engaging fellowships, and develop new educational opportunities that resonate with students of all backgrounds. Your creative approach to Jewish learning will invite students into imaginative spaces that foster both formal and informal Jewish education. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with our dynamic student engagement team to embrace pluralism and empower student leadership. You’ll be a pastoral presence and a Jewish role model, forging connections with diverse groups on campus and serving as a representative at various community events. To succeed in this role, you’ll need rabbinic ordination from an accredited institution, a commitment to community-building, and the ability to navigate and discuss meaningful conversations about Judaism and Israel.
