Business Development Representative (Affiliate Marketing)

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative to identify, qualify, and drive new business opportunities in the affiliate marketing space. This role requires a combination of strategic research, strong business sense, and the ability to effectively engage with decision-makers to set appointments and drive the sales process forward.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential leads using a combination of quantitative and qualitative factors to assess the potential for affiliate marketing opportunities.
  • Qualify leads by evaluating company size, annual revenue, vertical, and existing affiliate programs.
  • Target decision-makers within eCommerce departments (CMOs, VPs, Marketing Managers) and set appointments for Account Executives to drive the sales process.
  • Use CRM systems (Zoho, Smart Lead) to maintain accurate lead records, track interactions, and ensure follow-ups are timely and efficient.
  • Leverage research tools such as Sales Navigator to identify and engage with target prospects effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to ensure smooth transitions from lead qualification to the sales process.
  • Regularly update and refine lead lists, ensuring they remain current and relevant based on quarterly data updates.
  • Develop outreach sequences and execute them to effectively nurture leads and drive engagement.
  • Strong understanding of affiliate marketing, including knowledge of affiliate networks, agencies, and publisher operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with decision-makers and drive sales conversations.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce) and lead management.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, able to evaluate leads based on both data and experience.
