Pricing & Innovation at hyperexponential

The hyperexponential Pricing and Innovation team are focused on helping our customers achieve excellence in pricing through their use of hx Renew, our market-leading SaaS pricing platform. We look at pricing model deployment holistically, understanding what best in class looks like and finding ways to enable it across our customer base.

Our ambition is to help bring forward next generation pricing and underwriting to today by combining advanced technology with a strong understanding of the business needs and challenges of the Specialty and Reinsurance markets.

We are also constantly looking to identify potential spaces for innovation in the insurance space which will provide significant value to our customers. This can take the form of partnerships with other tech companies, or working with customers to drive innovative uses of the hx Renew platform.

Your mission

The Pricing and Innovation team are looking to build out a Pricing benchmarking capability that will serve both our existing customer base and potential customers. This benchmarking will be a deep dive on the strengths and weaknesses of the Actuarial pricing function on a number of key dimensions and will help our customers to understand their current position in the market compared to their peers.

You will be responsible for rolling this benchmarking out by leveraging existing in house expertise on best in class pricing and combining it with a structured scalable interview data collection process to create an asset that provides significant value within the market and to hyperexponential’s customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive value consulting amongst our customer base by running and owning workshops focused on Pricing capability assessment and Pricing transformation

  • Manage engagement with senior stakeholders amongst hyperexponential customers in workshops and wider engagements

  • Aggregate data to develop industry insights and benchmarks for the benefit of our customers and the broader industry

  • Collaborate with teams across hyperexponential - especially Marketing and Sales - to ensure that the full value of your insights and benchmarking is leveraged for ongoing customer engagements as well as wider leads generation

  • Provide wider support to Pricing and Innovation team projects focused on improving the pricing capabilities of our customers and the value they receive from our product - hx Renew

Experience and skills

Essentials

  • Experience within a (re)insurer or insurance brokerage working closely with or in transformation, or a consulting firm with some experience on Insurance engagements

  • Experience in proactively taking on ownership of work within a project team to ensure successful delivery of the wider team

  • Excellent ability in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a strong emphasis on collaborative teamwork

  • Customer - engagement

  • Data analysis - identify trends - play them back

  • Running workshops

  • Organising workshops, executing them,

  • Gain feedback from customers and iterate on the workshops

Desirable Skill Set Examples

  • Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks, especially in Insurance environments, including Scrum

  • Ability to understand Project and Programme management disciplines including production of project plans, key quality Programme deliverables and working and delivering to strict time constraints
