Middle Mobile QA Engineer

Our company, National Retail Solutions (NRS), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of IDT Corporation – a telecom company with many products and divisions including its famed Boss Revolution international calling products sold in 10’s thousands of stores, and its Net2Phone Office hosted PBX offering.


NRS is revolutionizing the independent retail industry by providing them with cost-effective, state of the art point sale systems and complementary services such as a store management app, consumer ordering app, web storefront for merchants, and loyalty programs allowing small retailers to more effectively compete with the larger store chains and online merchants.  We are deployed in well over 14 thousand stores across the US at this time.


The technology division is a small, high-powered development group with teams situated in the US, Israel, and Minsk that produces interactive, high-performance web applications that are both good-looking and easy to use.


As an Experienced Manual QA Engineer at National Retail Solutions you will play a critical role  in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with the development and QA teams in designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure that all features are working properly and ensure that our products meet the highest standards.




Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough manual testing of software application on the iOS platform to identify bugs, defects, and issues in functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Support production release and perform post release testing.
  • Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and ensure no adverse impacts on existing functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to resolve identified issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Create clear, concise, and detailed bug reports, documenting defects and providing reproducible steps for developers to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and strategies to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a QA Engineer.
  • 2+ years of proven experience as QA mobile Engineer (iOS and Android).
  • Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to check application logs.
  • Proficiency in API testing and tools such as Postman and Swagger.
  • Android studio IDE knowledge.
  • Xcode IDE knowledge.
  • Familiarity with cloud devices farms such as BrowserStack, Amazon.
  • Experience with Firebase.
  • Understanding of SDLC.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Can communicate in English (B2+).


Nice To Have:
  • Test Automation: Experience or familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., WebdriverIO) for automated testing of web or mobile applications.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, identify issues, and provide solutions or recommendations to improve software quality.
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale, e-commerce order management and order processing systems is a plus.
