The successful candidate will be required to complete a background check and a drug test as a condition of employment for this role.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAYAs a Deputy Retail Sales Manager, responsible for increasing sales/gross profit and delivering a consistent, seamless positive shopping experience, you will:Partner with the Sales Manager to drive the execution of the store's commercial action plan, goals and key performance indicators, sales priorities, and ensure sustained long-term profitability.Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training and development plans of Shopkeepers and Selling co-workers.Coach and mentor Shopkeepers to inspire their team's recognition of contributions. Support Shopkeepers with co-worker relations and performance.Ensure Shopkeepers instill IKEA's customer motivators by setting clear expectations, delivering seamless shopping experiences.Motivate and develop team members by setting clear goals, conducting follow-up, and improving IKEA mechanical sales, merchandising, buying process, availability, range management, sales strategies, and resource planning.Introduce best practices and new country processes/systems on a timely basis.Analyze and share local market insights, strengths, and potential to ensure store relevance and inform strategic decisions on product presentation, leveraging price and quality, and using Layout as a commercial tool.Lead, attend and contribute to cross-functional store meetings and forums as applicable.Contributes to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.TOGETHER AS A TEAMWe are the ones meeting our customers – in our stores, online, in our catalogue and beyond.
