Position Summary:

We are seeking an independent and creative summer intern to join the Genomics & Data Science group at Kriya. The intern will contribute to cell culture, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) efforts in support of Kriya Therapeutics’ pre-clinical pipeline and platform technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

The intern will collaborate with scientists and engineers to design and test plasmid and AAV vector based reporter assays, prepare NGS libraries and conduct Illumina sequencing. They will also work closely with data scientists to analyze and interpret complex NGS datasets

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred Majors/Disciplines: The ideal candidate will be a Masters student, PhD candidate or postdoc with demonstrated skills and interest in one of the following subject areas: genomics, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a related field, ideally with previous experience with cell culture, microscopy, DNA, RNA, and protein manipulation.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or strong interest in high-throughput cell screening and molecular biology assays.
  • Molecular cloning experience is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory work environment
