Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern will work closely with (and mentored by) the Multiport (MP) Vision Electrical Engineering team to design, develop and test Endoscope related Electrical boards and systems.

This position reports to Sr. Manager of MP Vision Electrical Engineering and is guided by senior staff within the R&D team

Essential Job Duties

  • Design, Develop and test electrical boards, systems and circuits, possibly including software code, scripting, FPGA RTL and other areas of development under guidance from senior Electrical Engineering staff
  • Complete task / tasks and present the activity, achievements and outcomes at the conclusion of the internship period
  • Additional job duties may be defined by functional people manager

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Required Education and Training

  • Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or related degree-seeking program at the Bachelor’s level.

Working Conditions

  • Work in office and R&D lab environments

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Curiosity and interest in Medical Device Research & Development
  • Interest / experience in Camera vision / video processing
