IT Communications Specialist Intern

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and motivated IT Communications Intern to join our team. As an IT Communications intern, you will play a key role in enhancing our internal communication strategies and promoting effective collaboration within the IT department. You will work closely with the IT team to develop and execute engaging communication campaigns, create content, and utilize various digital and social tools to foster a cohesive and informed IT community. This position requires a combination of strong writing skills, creative thinking, and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement effective internal communication strategies and initiatives.

Create engaging and informative content, including newsletters, blog posts, announcements, and presentations.

Utilize digital and social tools, such as Yammer, to facilitate communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among IT team members.

Monitor and moderate internal communication channels, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining a positive and respectful online environment.

Assist in the planning and execution of IT events and initiatives, including town hall meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT communications and recommend innovative approaches to enhance internal communication processes.

Conduct research and gather data to support the development of IT communications materials and campaigns.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for IT-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Communications, English, Literature, or a related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.

Demonstrated creativity and ability to craft compelling and engaging content.

Ability to create appealing videos, artwork and edit them using apps like FinalCut Pro

Proficiency in digital and social tools, such as Yammer, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other collaboration platforms.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Familiarity with IT concepts and technologies, with a desire to expand knowledge in the field.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

The salary for this role is $20/hour. The program will run for 8-10 weeks.
