Job Summary

Getty’s Human Resources team develops and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues across Getty, assisting our business units to meet their needs in all aspects of human capital management. Our goal is to provide quality human resource services that support staff and managers and help attract, develop, motivate and retain our workforce within a welcoming work environment.

 

Our Human Resources Specialists partner with specific Getty business units, providing guidance and direction in areas such as recruitment and employment; personnel matters; job evaluation; salary administration; and conflict resolution. Specialists also guide, develop and oversee the work of the HR Coordinator(s) partnered with their business units. They will assist with the development, implementation and dissemination of human resource policies and procedures and will work on special projects as requested.

 

Getty is undertaking a major HR, Payroll and Finance systems conversion. Staff in these areas are all expected to engage in and support the integration and implementation as needed.

 

Getty has a strong commitment to balancing work and personal life and supporting professional development. After a successful introductory period, this role will be hybrid/partially remote.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day administration of policies, procedures and programs in human resources and responds to inquiries regarding such.
  • Provide in-depth oversight and guidance for the recruitment process, aligning with Getty’s recruitment objectives and ensuring fair and equitable practice and processes and determining appropriate pay level for positions.
  • May provide an initial review of applicant materials to match experience with specific job-related requirements, based on business partners’ desires.
  • In concert with the Compensation Manager and established pay structure, guides and recommends offers of employment, including salary, signing bonuses, relocation, etc.
  • Manage leave of absence in partnership with business unit managers/supervisors, HR Coordinator, HR colleagues and Legal, as necessary.
  • Investigate employee concerns and conflict resolution issues; recommend and facilitate effective solutions in alignment with applicable Getty policies and laws.
  • Work in concert with HR team on annual compensation planning, providing insight and reflection with respect to relevant business units.
  • Oversee performance management process for relevant business units, providing coaching and guidance regarding procedures and timelines and responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Oversee and approve human resource transactions submitted to HRIS for processing.
  • Support exit interview process, assisting with analyzing data and making recommendations for business unit and/or organizational improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
  • Four years in a human resource generalist or very similar role. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources processes, practices and regulatory oversight.

  • Excellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and trust.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive personal information with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, consistently follow through with projects and assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Competent in approaching work collaboratively, as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experienced with HR management systems, applicant tracking and performance management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and cloud-based productivity and collaboration software (e.g. Office365, Zoom, Acrobat, DocuSign) applications.
