One of our companies is currently looking for a Head of Software Engineering (PHP) in Poland.

As the Head of Software Engineering, you will lead a team of PHP developers, drive innovation, and shape the technical strategy of the company. You will oversee the development, deployment, and optimization of software products, actively contributing to coding while fostering an environment of innovation and high standards. Your role will involve mentoring your team, ensuring quality code, and implementing new technologies like AI to streamline development processes. This is a hands-on leadership position, where you’ll work closely with the team to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Accountabilities:

• Manage and lead a team of PHP developers, ensuring efficient task delegation and workflow organization.
• Actively participate in the development process with a hands-on approach to programming and problem-solving.
• Introduce and promote new technologies, including AI tools, to enhance the development process.
• Define and enforce coding standards and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Optimize software development processes, striving for continuous improvement in efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support the development of innovative products.
• Mentor team members and support their growth, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making related to technology and development practices.
• Ensure timely project completion by monitoring progress against established objectives.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position within a software development team.
• Advanced proficiency in PHP and web technologies.
• Proven experience managing development projects and overseeing complex software solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of developers.
• Familiarity with the latest trends in web technologies and AI.
• Experience optimizing processes and implementing automation for efficiency.
• Startup mindset: flexibility, initiative, and adaptability to change.
• Strong decision-making skills for strategic technological choices.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
• A passion for coding, innovation, and promoting high-quality engineering standards.

• B2B contract with a salary range of 27,000 - 33,000 PLN based on experience and skills.
