The Role

As a Legacy Managed Service Contractor, you will play a crucial role in managing all datacenter activities on behalf of Kyndryl infrastructure, both remotely and onsite at client locations. Your responsibilities will include supporting changes and project work for technology refresh, which involves racking and stacking equipment, cabling, labeling, connecting to power, and collaborating closely with the client to ensure facilities readiness. You will establish physical connections to management networks to enable logical work, while ensuring no business impact or downtime for the client. Additionally, you will quickly troubleshoot issues, isolate problem areas at the site, support parts replacements, and escort vendors for such replacements. Regular tasks will also include decommissioning equipment and maintaining accuracy in asset inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• You will be remote and onsite at a client location responsible for all datacenter activities on behalf of Kyndryl infrastructure.

• Support changes and project work for technology refresh inclusive of racking/stacking equipment, cabling / labeling, connecting to power and working closely with the client on facilities readiness and establishing physical connection to management networks for logical work to take place.

• You will assist in ensuring no business impact or down time to the client, quickly troubleshoot issues and isolate problem areas physically at the site, including support of replacing parts and/or escorting vendors for such parts replacements.

• In addition, responsible for the decommission of equipment and accuracy in asset inventory are all a regular part of your job.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of Datacenter Support experience

• Experience ensuring maintenance, installation and updates of data center systems based on customer processes

• Ability to maintain and update floor space records with the client and schematics

• Prove track record of following established guidelines for data entry or storage of customer data

• Expertise with ensuring the safety and protection of customer data

• Experience with management of storage, distribution and back up of data

• Ensure compliance with guidelines and government regulations

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree is considered a plus, but not required

• Automotive Industry experience a plus

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $74,640 to $141,960 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience.  For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $82,200 to $170,280 

Colorado: $74,640 to $141,960 

New York City: $89,640 to $170,280 

Washington: $82,200 to $156,240 

Washington DC: $82,200 to $156,240 

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
