We are in search of a seasoned Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will spearhead the design, construction, and management of cloud-based applications and services utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will focus on establishing accounts with Account Factory, deploying AWS Config, AWS Control Tower, AWS Security Hub, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Resilience Hub, AWS Identity Center, AWS Firewall Manager, and implementing FinOps methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement cloud infrastructure and services on AWS with a focus on security, scalability, and efficiency.
Utilize Account Factory to provision and administer AWS accounts within AWS Control Tower landing zones.
Configure and oversee AWS Config for evaluating, auditing, and managing AWS resource configurations.
Deploy and sustain AWS Security Hub, AWS Guard Duty, and AWS Resilience Hub for continuous security monitoring, threat detection, and resilience planning.
Oversee AWS Identity Center for centralized account access and identity management.
Setup AWS Firewall Manager for centralized management of firewall policies across AWS accounts and resources.
Apply FinOps principles to optimize cloud spending and ensure financial accountability in cloud operations.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to architect scalable software services and enforce system security using top-notch cloud security solutions.
Address system issues across all platform and application domains, offering recommendations for process and architecture enhancements.
Stay abreast of emerging technology options and vendor products, evaluating their suitability for the company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, coupled with relevant AWS experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role.
Prior experience working at Labcorp.
Proficient in AWS services, including Account Factory, AWS Config, AWS Control Tower, AWS Security Hub, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Resilience Hub, AWS Identity Center, and AWS Firewall Manager.
Familiarity with FinOps practices and principles.
Expertise in cloud security solutions and best practices.
Strong scripting language proficiency (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Specialty) preferred.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
