Business Development Analyst- DoD (Secret Clearance Highly Preferred)

Position Summary:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Analyst to support our efforts in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the federal government contracting space. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools such as USAspending.gov, FPDS (Federal Procurement Data System), and research platforms like GovWin or Bloomberg Government. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of government procurement processes, and the ability to generate actionable insights that drive growth. This is a 6 month contract to hire, remote flexibility between 2-4 days per week depending on experience and skillset.


Active Secret clearance highly preferred.


Responsibilities:
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Utilize platforms such as USAspending.gov, FPDS, GovWin, and Bloomberg to identify federal contracting opportunities and analyze market trends.
  • Monitor government budgets, forecasts, and acquisition strategies to provide insights into potential opportunities.
  • Research competitive landscapes and evaluate competitor activities in the federal market.
  • Opportunity Identification and Qualification:
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities that align with the company’s capabilities and strategic objectives.
  • Track upcoming government solicitations, contract vehicles, and task orders.
  • Collaborate with business development and capture teams to assess opportunity viability and develop win strategies.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain and update a pipeline of opportunities in the company’s CRM system.
  • Generate regular reports on business development metrics, market trends, and pipeline progress.
  • Create presentations and summaries for leadership on identified opportunities and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Partner with proposal teams to provide data-driven insights and support development of competitive proposals.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align business development efforts with organizational priorities.
  • Engage with contracting officers and industry stakeholders to gather intelligence on upcoming opportunities.
