Civil Project Manager (Hybrid Remote)

Salary: $110,000 - 130,000/year

This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil design, project management, and team leadership, with a deep understanding of infrastructure projects, including roads, grading, utilities, and drainage.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee project teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain client relationships, and ensure the successful execution of projects on time and within budget. Your leadership will be key to driving project success and meeting both client and organizational goals.


Respoonsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring successful completion within scope, time, and budget parameters.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor project engineers, designers, and drafting staff. Provide guidance and support to the team, promoting collaboration and efficiency.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, understanding client requirements, and providing progress updates.
  • Design Oversight: Oversee and review the preparation of civil engineering designs and drawings, including grading, drainage, utility systems, and roadways, using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Budget and Scheduling: Develop project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them. Address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits and coordination with contractors to ensure design intent is realized in the field.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on project deliverables to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, schedules, and communications. Prepare and deliver project reports to clients, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • Business Development: Assist in identifying new business opportunities and expanding the company’s client base. Participate in proposal development and presentations.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Proven experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design tasks and project execution.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex infrastructure projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant design and project management software.
