Store Manager

Our client at LHH is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for premium products, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence. As a Store Manager, you will ensure that the store runs efficiently, meets sales and profitability goals, and provides a luxurious shopping experience. This role requires strong leadership, an understanding of the grocery retail industry, and the ability to maintain the store’s premium standards.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:• Oversee all store operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day management.• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food standards.• Manage inventory levels, ensure stock rotation, and maintain product quality and availability.• Develop and implement store policies and procedures in alignment with company standards.Customer Experience:• Maintain an exceptional customer service environment, focusing on creating a welcoming and upscale shopping experience.• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.• Train staff to deliver high-level service and product knowledge, ensuring a personalized shopping experience.Sales and Profitability:• Drive sales and meet profitability goals through effective merchandising, marketing, and customer engagement.• Analyze sales trends, customer data, and feedback to identify opportunities for growth.• Develop strategies for increasing basket size, customer retention, and repeat business.Team Leadership and Development:• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of store associates, supervisors, and department managers.• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure a high level of product knowledge and service.• Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote a positive work culture.Merchandising and Inventory Control:• Ensure the store’s layout, displays, and product placements reflect a high-end aesthetic.• Collaborate with buyers to ensure the availability of premium and specialty products.• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and waste reduction.Budgeting and Financial Management:• Manage the store’s budget, ensuring expenses align with targets.• Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and shrinkage, and make adjustments as necessary.• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for upper management.Marketing and Community Engagement:• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote store events, new products, and seasonal specials.• Build relationships within the local community, fostering partnerships and ensuring the store is positioned as a top-tier destination for luxury grocery shopping.Qualifications:• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager, preferably in a high-end grocery, specialty food, or luxury retail environment.• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating an elevated shopping experience.• Familiarity with premium grocery products, specialty foods, and health and wellness trends.• Ability to analyze financial data and manage budgets.• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.• Knowledge of merchandising principles and inventory management.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in retail management software and point-of-sale systems.Salary range $75-85kMonday - Friday Schedule
