Institutional Product Marketing Manager

Description

An independent project supporting the Marketing of the Lido protocol is seeking an experienced Institutional Product Marketing Manager to build and execute institutional marketing strategies. You will work on initiatives that drive the growth and adoption of stETH among institutional clients, enhancing our market position in the institutional DeFi space. You will work closely with the Institutional team to understand region-specific market priorities and develop impactful brand activations that deliver engaging content through thoughtful story-telling and creative experiences for Institutional clients and prospects to raise awareness and generate new opportunities in various regions. Working with Lido Institutional contributors and cross-functional teams including product, and marketing, you will develop compelling legally compliant marketing campaigns and sales enablement materials that resonate with institutional audiences and drive adoption. Your main duties include strategy, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns and events.

Key Scope

  • Institutional Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Lead the creation and implementation of GTM plans for institutional-focused product offerings, ensuring alignment across marketing and product.

  • Trusted Advisor: Establish yourself as a trusted and respected strategic advisor with Institutional and other cross-functional teams through translating project goals into strategic marketing tactics and programs.

  • Messaging & Positioning: Develop clear and compelling messaging that articulates the unique value proposition of stETH for institutional clients, leveraging market research and client insights. Create narratives that address institutional pain points and requirements.

  • Event & Campaign Coordination: Manage all aspects of event and campaign coordination with relevant cross-functional teams, including: strategy, messaging, promotion/distribution, physical presence (signage, giveaways, site selection, etc. as applicable), contract negotiation, vendor relations, project management, budget tracking, logistics, etc.

  • Sales Enablement: Create high-quality sales collateral including presentations, one-pagers, case studies, and competitive analyses that empower the Institutional team to effectively engage institutional prospects.

  • Growth Marketing: Plan, execute, and measure integrated marketing campaigns targeting institutions across various channels, including thought leadership content, institutional events, and webinars. Research industry events, digital, and media opportunities and evaluate sponsorship based on Institutional team’s objectives and target audience.

  • Institutional Ecosystem Development: Build and maintain relationships with institutional partners, protocols, and service providers to execute successful co-marketing initiatives and drive adoption.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the link between product management, sales, and marketing teams to ensure institutional client needs are understood and addressed through product development and marketing efforts.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research on institutional trends, competitor strategies, and user needs to refine product positioning and drive strategic decisions.

  • Performance Analysis & Feedback Loops: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing and sales enablement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Maintain ownership of various region’s performance, through consistent reporting, analysis and optimization efforts, and conduct post-campaign evaluations and ROI analysis; report and share results and recommendations with Institutional and marketing teams. Manage the end-to-end funnel for campaigns, including sales & BDR enablement, email & retargeting nurture strategies, lead tracking and performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product marketing or sales enablement within the blockchain industry, with focus on institutional clients.

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing with focus on institutional clients.

  • TradFi marketing background is a plus, with added knowledge in crypto, digital assets, tech.

  • In-depth understanding of institutional client segments (asset managers, funds, brokerages, banks) and their unique requirements in the staking and DeFi ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical products into compelling value propositions for institutional audiences.

  • A proven track record of writing excellent short- and long-form content, including institutional-focused content (i.e. case studies, and sales materials).

  • Experience working closely with sales teams to develop effective enablement resources that drive conversion.

  • Proven track record of managing events and marketing campaigns.

  • Proven negotiation, problem-solving, organization and project management skills.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior institutional stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop and deliver cohesive event strategies, including messaging, audience, execution.

  • Acute attention to detail; demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external clients.

  • Ability to stay current with market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments affecting institutional DeFi adoption.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; ability to multitask and effectively manage time, deadlines and budgets.
