Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

LinkedIn’s Billing Support team is looking for a proactive and results-driven Vendor Engagement Lead to enhance collaboration between LinkedIn and our Billing vendor partners.  This role is essential in optimizing communication, performance, and accountability across our vendor teams, driving quality improvements, and achieving exceptional outcomes for our members and customers.  You will work closely with Global Support leadership, Go-To-Market Vendor Solutions (GTMVS), and vendor partners to streamline operations, improve performance, and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Onboarding & Training: Lead the onboarding process for vendor teams, ensuring they are well-equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources to support LinkedIn Billing processes and best practices.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the successful operation of Billing vendor teams, focusing on coaching, quality assurance, and performance tracking to ensure vendors meet or exceed established standards.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Monitor and assess vendor performance through regular business reviews.  Develop actionable performance plans and collaborate with vendor DRIs and Global Support leadership to implement improvements.
  • Workforce Planning: Partner with Workforce Planning to forecast and address headcount needs across multiple regions, ensuring vendor teams are optimally staffed to meet business demands.
  • Role Optimization: Analyze and optimize the balance of responsibilities between Full-Time Employees (FTEs) and vendor teams to enhance efficiency and align with Global Support objectives.
  • Training Playbooks: Develop and maintain comprehensive training playbooks for vendor teams, ensuring they align with LinkedIn’s Billing goals and processes.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate trusted relationships with vendor leadership and cross-functional teams, providing guidance and best practices to ensure a unified and effective approach to managing the Billing function.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvement, working with cross-functional teams to enhance vendor performance and unlock growth potential.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Billing, Order-to-Cash, or Credit & Collections operations.
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with external vendors in a support capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in aligning operational processes with Global Support objectives across a large, distributed organization.
  • Experience managing and coaching customer support teams across multiple channels (email, chat, phone).
  • Strong background in high-volume, queue-based environments supporting customer service or finance processes.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with a forward-thinking, “can-do” attitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Order-to-Cash cycle and best practices for process optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in evaluating support operations and recommending improvements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of legal contracts and amendments.
  • Financial planning and analysis experience, particularly in headcount forecasting and operational budgeting, is a plus.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership (Director level and above) and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, as needed, to visit vendor sites and maintain relationships.
  • Experience with large financial ERP (ie. Oracle, SAP, CRM systems (SFDC, D365, OSC), or similar enterprise software.
  • Proven ability to coach and train teams to drive performance and success.

Suggested Skills:

  • Multi-Channel Communication
  • Order to cash
  • Vendor Support
