You will be responsible for facilitating the integration ofmicro-services that support command and control of Loft's space infrastructure, ensuring they transition smoothly between pipelines from development to deployment. Additionally, you will assist the Ground Software team in building mature CI/CD solutions intended to support the scale of Cockpit growth. You will regularly engage with our ground software, flight software, and other interdisciplinary teams.This is an exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in groundbreaking technology, contributing to the development of modern, automated space infrastructure where software takes center stage. Beyond shaping our future systems, you'll also address real-time challenges on live missions, actively troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. Moreover, we offer specialized SatDevOps training, empowering you to actually operate our spacecraft. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software operations while developing skills in process improvement and automation.Our Technology Stack: Python, Django, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Cue, C++, Azure, GCPMission Objectives• Configure and customize Cockpit, Loft's satellite operations software, to meet the unique requirements of DoD missions.• Work with Ground Software SMEs to implement tools for operations, autopilot, and activities, ensuring seamless functionality.• Facilitate command and telemetry transmission.• Engage in code development, focusing on the enhancement of our services.• Collaborate closely with FSW/ESW/AIT teams for seamless integration.• Provide internal support for the utilization of ground software (Cockpit).• Participate actively in spacecraft operations, ensuring collective involvement and success.• Assist in patterns in repetitive tasks suitable for automation.Mission Mandates• The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.• Must be a US Citizen for consideration.• Proficiency in Python and Docker.• Experience with web development backend frameworks and API design.Mission Credentials• Preference will be given to candidates with 1) a DoD or Intelligence Community Top Secret background investigation with at least 3 years of eligibility remaining or CE status; and SCI eligibility with current experience in SCI programs, other control systems, and/or Special Access Programs, or 2) a current in-scope DoD SECRET background investigation with at least 3 years of eligibility remaining, or Continuous Evaluation (CE) status.• Familiarity with Django, GraphQL, database interactions, Kubernetes, and Influx/Timescale DB.• Experience with space to ground communication paradigms.Per Colorado law, we are required to disclose the base compensation range for this role.
