Lowe's is hiring for Outlet Sales AssistantResponding to phone calls, emails and other forms of correspondence sent to Lowe's and ensuring customers receive an efficient response is an essential part of this roleWhat You Will Do:Following safety protocol diligently to ensure the well-being of both customers and employees, continually monitoring potential hazards and keeping the store free of clutter:• Offering a warm and proficient assistance to customers with their DIY tasks at Lowe's.• The timely and satisfactory receipt of merchandise by customers can be guaranteed through the accurate processing of orders and deliveries and the validation of loading tickets.• Encouraging safety and mindfulness in the workplace can reduce injuries and help create a positive working atmosphere.Responsibilities:The Outlet Sales Assistant at Lowe's is a critical position that requires extensive knowledge of the brand's products, customer service skills, and multi-tasking abilities. They must be vigilant and report any potential safety risks to maintain an optimal shopping experience for all customers.The responsibilities of Outlet Sales Assistant are dependent on the unit they belong to. These units can be Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls, and candidates for the position may be considered for any of these depending on their skills and the hiring needs.Travel Requirements:This job does not ordinarily involve consistent travel, but there may be times where travel is needed, such as attending meetings, trainings, or offering support to nearby stores.How we measure success: We track our success through a variety of metrics, including customer satisfaction, financial performance, market share, and employee engagement:• Hourly Positions: Prefer between Full Time or Part Time opportunities. For Full Time, you'll need to be available for approximately 39 to 40 hours per week, and for Part Time, you'll have up to 25 hours per week scheduled; although, additional hours may be necessary.• The right candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, any day of the week.• Proficiency to execute job responsibilities that entail prolonged standing, sitting, and other physical movements that are mandatory.• CSAs assigned to the Greeter departments, specifically those in eligible stores, should possess the minimum capability to lift 10 pounds without help. They also have the option to lift more than 10 pounds either with or without assistance.• To be assigned to non-Greeter departments, CSAs must meet a minimum lifting requirement of 25 pounds independently. They may also lift above 25 pounds with or without assistance.In order to succeed, you must be willing to put in the time and effort required to achieve your goals. There are no shortcuts to success:Minimum Qualifications:• The individual possesses six months of experience utilizing computer systems, which includes recording, retrieving, altering, or exhibiting digital information.• Worked for over six months in retail, becoming skilled in the use of common technological tools such as smartphones and tablets.• Complying with regulatory requirements, the candidate must have the capacity to obtain any mandatory sales-based licensure or registration.Preferred Qualifications:• My experience in sales has allowed me to develop strong communication skills, particularly when it comes to explaining the benefits and features of products to customers. After 6 months of providing exceptional service and identifying customer needs, I have become confident in selling products like credit cards, installations, and add-ons.• With six months of retail experience, I have become adept at providing top-notch customer service through efficiently handling customer concerns, aiding them in finding products, offering cordial greetings, answering the phone promptly, cultivating relationships, and expressing gratitude towards loyal customers.• The store is open to hiring employees that possess bilingual abilities that align with the store's needs.• Many professionals in hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials seek out certification to demonstrate their expertise and commitment to their craft.Our pledge at Lowe's is to ensure equal opportunities for all individuals in regards to our employment practices, with no discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, national origin, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, or any other category protected by law.
