LPA is seeking a passionate Civil Design Engineer to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of our civil engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. Our award-winning projects aim to have a positive and enduring environmental, economic and social impact. Completed projects include Edwards Lifesciences and Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

What you will do:
Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the execution of specific assignments
Prepare presentations and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents
Review and process construction administration documents
Active in professional associations

Provide mentorship from Managing Directors and Design Directors as well as other in-house disciplines on all projects

Civil Design Engineer Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
Engineer in Training License required
Broad knowledge and experience in civil engineering and site development
Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment
Curious and open minded to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $94,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
