Senior Project Manager, Asset Management

MISSION:

Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike and building out development pipelines to finance renewable energy projects with our development partners.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager at Madison Energy Infrastructure (MEI), is instrumental in driving and enhancing the performance and management of commercial and industrial solar assets, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Vice President of Asset Management, this role entails leading project managers, supervising critical remediations, and managing subcontractor relationships to deliver measurable improvements in output and cost efficiency. The Senior Project Manager takes on a leadership role, guiding and directing a team of project managers, subcontractors, and site-specific operations to achieve divisional KPIs and enhance system performance. This role is accountable for increasing controllable Weather-Adjusted P50 output from 93% to 100%, supervising major remediations to reduce resolution time from 1 year to 3 months, and ensuring zero preventable thermal or safety incidents, reflecting the elevated strategic importance of the position within the organization.


What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading and overseeing the activities of 3 Project Managers, coaching and monitoring their performance to achieve divisional KPIs, including increasing controllable Weather-Adjusted P50 output from 93% to 100%.  Grow with us, it will be just you to start. Build your team as we grow, hiring your first PM within 6 months.
  • Spearheading major remediation projects, directly supervising 8 major remediations per year and reducing resolution times from 1 year to 3 months across all critical tickets.
  • Facilitating the management of subcontractors by negotiating pricing, contracts, and performance standards, ensuring accountability to Madison Energy Infrastructure's operational expectations.
  • Championing safety initiatives to eliminate preventable thermal and safety incidents across all sites.
  • Establishing and managing a comprehensive stocking strategy to reduce inverter replacement times from 7 days to 4 days.
  • Executing the review and approval of 400 invoices per month submitted by Project Managers to ensure accuracy and cost control.
  • Driving the development of strong relationships with OEMs to support operational excellence and equipment reliability.
  • Collaborating with field teams and site stakeholders to address and resolve critical site issues as the SWAT Manager, including traveling to 3-4 sites per year for hands-on engagement.
  • Generating actionable insights by reviewing maintenance reports, challenging assumptions, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Leading and overseeing site visits to 10% of assigned sites annually, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and professional standards.


What We Are Looking For:
  • Ability to demonstrate urgency and drive solutions from start to finish.
  • 4+ years of strong project management skills to source, price, and manage subcontractors.
  • 4+ years of experience in proficiency in technical understanding of (C&I) solar components, troubleshooting, and supervision.
  • Budgetary knowledge and financial oversight capabilities to track financial performance and manage cost-effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, including professional email writing and team collaboration.
  • Comfortable creating urgency and holding subcontractors accountable for deliverables.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and thrive in a scaling environment.


$135,000 - $160,000 a year
The actual salary offered may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience and location.
