Position Overview

The mission of the Project Systems and Controls Department at Craftwater is to empower Project Managers and their teams by delivering tools, systems, and tailored support for efficient and successful project execution. As a core part of the executive team, PS&C bridges the gap between project operations and Craftwater’s broader company strategy, driving exceptional client outcomes and organizational success.

Our department philosophy centers on treating our Project Managers as our top priority. It’s our role to provide them with proactive, concierge-level support, enabling them to focus on clients and project delivery. This includes anticipating their needs, “managing up,” and collaborating with them on contracts, project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and more. We take a flexible, adaptive approach, customizing our support to each Project Manager’s unique needs and work style, while excelling at juggling multiple priorities, wearing many hats, and maintaining forward focus. Our team is driven, detail-oriented, and approachable.

The Project Controls Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Project Managers and the Director of Project Systems & Controls. This position is responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring seamless execution. Key responsibilities include ERP (Unanet AE) administration, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and data analysis to provide actionable insights for successful project outcomes.


Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination:
  • Assist Project Managers with scheduling, resource allocation, and budget tracking.
  • Manage subcontractor contracts, compliance, and invoicing processes.
  • Manage client contracts, compliance, and invoicing processes.
  • Track project profitability and conduct audits to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • System & Process Support:
  • Support the implementation and daily operations of ERP systems, particularly Unanet AE.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Data Management & Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and report project data, including KPIs, to leadership and project teams.
  • Identify risks, trends, and opportunities to improve project processes.
  • Client & Team Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between clients, Project Managers, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination to ensure project milestones are met.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in project support, controls, or operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Unanet preferred) and project management software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and teams.
  • Proven experience in tracking budgets, managing schedules, and ensuring project compliance.
  • Ability to manage client and subcontractor contracts, including compliance and requirements tracking.
