What you will do as a Maintenance Mechanic:
Support the production efforts of the Workwear Outfitters Customization and Shipping facilities in an efficient and safe manner.
· Maintain troubleshoot and repair industrial sewing equipment in a timely manner.
· Maintain troubleshoot and repair of any conveyor equipment in a timely manner.
· Scheduling and performing routine and preventive equipment maintenance of all equipment within the facility.
· Order equipment parts as needed and maintain parts inventory to ensure efficient operation.
· Ability to communicate with vendors for parts and pricing repairs.
· Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
· Maintain a safe and clean working environment per company policies.
· Must be a motivated self-starter with a commitment to company policies.
· Need the ability to bring new ideas to the table to help reduce cost.
· Must have basic computer skills.
· General building maintenance and property is required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Essential skills/Education experience:
· At least 2-3 years of sewing machine repair experience is preferred.
· Ability to troubleshoot and repair single/double needle, tackers, blind stitch, lockstitch hemmers or any equipment in operation.
· Ability to work individually and with a team.
· Trade or Technical School certification
· Technical skills are preferred
· Electrical certificate preferred
· Industrial maintenance experience
This position is to fill a second shift time slot which currently runs from 3:00 pm- 1:30 am. This current shift run Monday-Thursday 10 hours per day with 30-minute unpaid lunch. Overtime will be needed to cover operations if facilities are required to work on the weekend.
