Overview:As a Senior Product Designer on the M&T Experience Design & Innovation team, you will lead the design of concepts, prototypes, and milestone iterations of digital products for Institutional Custody Services (ICS). You will work on one or more teams with product owners and developers to bring our experience visions to life. In addition, you will collaborate closely with other Product Designers and Service Designers to keep our product experiences aligned.Primary Responsibilities:Develop the process/approach for tackling a design problem and anticipate problems using known methods, including:• Envision and design a desired end-state that meets business goals and end user needs/expectations, as informed by research.• Utilize user-centered design methods throughout the product development lifecycle to define deliverables and bring the experience to life.• Partner with developers to ensure their awareness of successful user experience standards and industry best practices.• Partners with developers in order to ensure smooth design delivery handoff• Explore multiple user-centered design concepts through whiteboard sessions, wireframes and usability studies to gather end user feedback and continually improve the customer experience.• Work with product owners to define functionality and end user requirements to meet desired outcomes.• Mentor other Product Designers within your team and building knowledge of design thinking among product teams.• Lead team members dedicated to one or more product spaces; connect to broader product vision.• Actively plan design-specific contributions to product team meetings.• Lead cross-functional teams in design workshops using human-centered and design thinking methodologies.• Perform user/customer research in partnership with our Experience Research team.• Explore new patterns and practices while enhancing methodological toolkit.• Communicate rationale to partners and collaborate with cross-functional peers.• Influence our stakeholders on better ways of working• Complete other related duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceRequired:Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or similar, and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years education and/or relevant/product design work experience.Strong stakeholder management skillsProject ManagementExperience with understanding and tracking data using tools such as Quantum Metric or Adobe AnalyticsStrong Figma screen design and prototyping skillsCollaborate well with other designers & researchersStrong presenter/workshop facilitatorExperience working in an Agile environment that currently focuses on just-in-time (design/research/development)Experience supporting the full product development process, from vision to launch to iterationAbility to mentor and educate others on the value and principles of good experience designEducation and Experience Preferred:Core Competencies:• Customer Centric – Outside in perspective with a focus on improving the customer experience• Curiosity – Seeks out ways to improve the customer experience• Resilient – Respectful of broad opinions and makes tough calls with ease• Driven & Prioritization – Self-motivated and knows how to say no• Challenges assumptions• Decisive & Lead Taking – Sense of urgency with an ability to inspire followers• Takes ownership with a strong sense of accountability• Interdependent – Communicates and convenes others; reaches across boundaries• Continuously seeks out ways to improveFamiliarity with design systemsExperience in financial services industry a plusPhysical Requirements:None#LI-MV1LocationClanton, Alabama, United States of America #J-18808-Ljbffr
