Human Resources Manager

Marlin Steel Wire Products is recruiting a Human Resources Manager to join our growing team. The HR Manager will support locations in Maryland, Indiana, and Michigan and will be focused on leading, facilitating, and supporting the human resource strategy for our quickly growing and expanding business.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·         Provide HR expertise and guidance to managers and employees regarding employee relations, working closely with both to foster strong work relationships

·         Act as a liaison between management and employees to quickly resolve employee relation issues

·         Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries on a variety of topics such as benefits, employee status changes, onboarding and exiting, and policy interpretation

·         Maintain performance management by facilitating 90-day reviews and yearly reviews

·         Create job descriptions, post jobs, and do initial screenings of applicants while recruiting for a wide range of roles

·         Oversee the onboarding of all new hires and monitor their performance in coordination with their direct supervisor through the initial 90 days

·         Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

·         Administer benefit meetings and ensure employees have a grasp of the variety of benefits offered by Marlin Steel

·         Conduct thorough and objective investigations when appropriate. Document complaints, review and participate in corrective actions, give guidance in accordance with company policies and guidelines

·         Conduct exit interviews and take care of outlying benefit questions when employees terminate employment

·         Ensure all personnel files are complete, organized and in compliance with Federal, State and Local law and norms

·         Coordinate company appreciation events

 

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, psychology, or related field preferred

·         Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA, and FMLA

·         Exposure to ADP WFN is a plus

·         Ability to travel 25% of the time to our other locations
