Program Manager - Equity

Position Summary:


The Program Manager will provide high-level project management and operational support across four key departments: Student Development, Specialized Services, High School Redesign and Post-Secondary Readiness. This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of Plan 2029 initiatives focused on equity and student success. The Program Manager will report directly to the Chief Equity Officer with matrix reporting to other senior leaders on Mastery’s Equity Team.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Essential Job Functions:
  • Project Management (40%)
  • Manage multiple complex projects across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic plan goals
  • Create and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and working groups
  • Document and share project outcomes and best practices

  • Data Management and Analysis (20%)
  • Create and maintain systems for tracking key metrics across departments
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor program effectiveness
  • Support data collection and analysis for program evaluation
  • Prepare data presentations for leadership team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Generate regular reports on program outcomes

  • Operational Support (40%)
  • Coordinate departmental calendars and scheduling
  • Manage internal communications across teams
  • Organize and maintain digital filing systems
  • Support budget tracking and resource allocation
  • Coordinate logistics for team meetings and professional development
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, or related field or equivalent five years of project management or executive administrative experience
  • 3+ years of program management experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in equity-focused initiatives


Physical/Environmental:
  • Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the role as required, and to work in the environmental conditions required, such as: traveling to network campuses; maneuvering in office spaces (including standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, speaking loudly and clearly, seeing and hearing things both near and far away); stooping, kneeling, reaching file cabinets/shelves; fine finger and hand manipulation in use of computer, chalkboard, dry erase, &/or projectors; filing, faxing, scanning, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls; sitting for up to two (2) hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse, and typing.


Other Requirements:
  • Position requires local &/or regional travel to Mastery and other sites.  Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle, or access to reliable transportation.
