Job Description

The Customer Engagement and Experience team nurtures profitable customer relationships through meaningful engagements and seamless experiences by leveraging data, innovation, and technology.  

The Media team oversees McDonald’s US media strategy and investment to maximize return on marketing investment across paid and owned channels. They support digital acquisition and retention strategies as well as manage multi-year endeavors with owned media partners. 

In the Director, Media – Local Media role, you will contribute to these priorities in through the following ways:  

  • Drive the strategy for all local media strategies and investments across 10 Field Offices and McDonald’s owned restaurants  
  • Develop local media priorities from both brand story and media channel standpoint 
  •  Lead foundational Friday content and monthly Media Director forums 
  • Oversight of local  strategy/vision, including future agency structure 
  • Lead QBR inputs for media 
  • Lead and develop a team of media experts

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260-190,310
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing or a related field 
  • Understanding of paid media space and role across US Marketing and US system 
  • Proven experience as a strategic thinker in regards to business dynamics and properly addressing in strategies 
  • Executive posture with proper influence cross-functionally and with Owner Operator community  
  • Understanding of multicultural marketplaces and audiences 
  • Proven experience leading high performing teams  
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to adapt to various constituencies. 
  • Experience working in a sophisticated, global, matrixed organization.

Bonus eligible: This position is eligible for a bonus, calculated based on individual and company performance.

Long term Incentive eligible: This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to McDonald’s long-term incentive plan.
