Behavior Technician- Mesa (100% Center-Based)

MeBe Family is a provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism and other special needs. To help you prepare for the role, MeBe Family offers one of the top ABA training programs using the Vincent Carbone method. We will invest in two weeks of paid training to prepare you to pass your RBT exam.  MeBe Family will also pair you with Supervisors to shadow, ask questions and guide you.

About What You’ll Work On:

  • You'll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center

  • You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.

  • You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.

  • At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.

  • You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.

  • You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.

  • You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.

  • You’ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.

  • You’ll help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.

  • You’ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

Qualifications:

  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday.  

  • Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)

  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations)

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Ability to work with computers.

  • If residing in CA, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients 

  • Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
