General Summary of PositionJob Summary:Performs alterations, repair maintenance duties, and minor construction on hospital buildings. Installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. Performs at Journeyman level in skill specialty.Primary Duties:• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.• Checks in all supplies and materials for department and reports condition and status of same appropriately.• Keeps record of all work done and makes out work sheet on each job stating department work for, time and material used.• Checks all equipment into which associates come into contact, checks for safety features and reports all equipment not functioning properly and any violation of any safety issues to supervisor.• Performs care, maintenance and repair of institutional property equipment and grounds as direct by the supervisor.• Performs care and use of supplies and maintenance of equipment used in performance of duties and properly implements disaster plan and fire plan as per Hospital policy.Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED required.• 3-4 years’ Experience in maintenance and power plant work required.• Driver’s License - Endorsement P (Passenger) Valid driver's license with good driving record required.• Engineer 3rd Grade - ENG 3RDG Maryland third class stationary engineer license preferredThis position has a hiring range of $23.19 - $40.61
