Regional VP of Sales

1) Eastern US - Remote

2) Western US - Remote

Compensation: $150K-$190K + commission

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Regional Vice President of Sales to lead and manage our direct sales team in a specific geographic region of our North American sales territory. This leadership role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, mentoring sales managers, and developing a high-performing team to achieve regional sales goals. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in B2B sales, with experience leading teams, developing sales strategies, and fostering client relationships across the energy and utility industry. 

 

What you’ll do: 

Leadership & Team Development 

  • Oversee and inspire a team of Sales Managers to meet and exceed sales targets. 

  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales managers to develop their skills in sales strategy, team leadership, account management and deal-closing motions. 

  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the sales organization. 

 

Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy 

  • Carry a personal sales quota while leading and managing the regional team. 

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies that align with the company’s overarching business goals 

  • Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the sales team and monitor progress to ensure achievement. 

  •  Work closely with leadership to identify market trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities within the region. 

 

Client Engagement 

  • Partner with Sales Managers to oversee key client relationships and ensure consistent engagement with C-level executives and other decision makers. 

  • Guide the team in creating customized solutions that address client needs, fostering long-term relationships and customer satisfaction. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of products and services. 

 

Operational Excellence 

  • Manage sales forecasts, pipeline development, and performance reporting to ensure transparency and alignment with company objectives. 

  • Drive efficiency by implementing best practices for sales processes and utilizing CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce). 

  • Negotiate high-value contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining customer value. 

 

Qualifications  

What you have - Required Skills:  

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred. 

 

Experience: 

  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role managing sales teams.  

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets in competitive markets, including carrying and achieving a personal quota. 

  • Experience in industries such as technology, SaaS, or other high-growth sectors is a plus. 

 

Skills: 

  • Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities, with a strong commitment to team development. 

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a client-centric approach. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. 

  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and sales analytics platforms. 

 

Travel: 

  • Ability to travel as required to support the sales team and meet with clients (approximately 30-50% travel).
