Business Development Manager

Milani Cosmetics is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Development Manager to lead and grow the Ulta Beauty account (or others as assigned). In this role, you will support brand initiatives, develop and execute programs that drive profitable sales, grow revenue, and expand Milani’s market share across eCommerce platforms and brick-and-mortar stores.

As the functional expert for the Ulta Beauty business, you will oversee sales results, promotional strategies, visual merchandising, and financial management to achieve strategic OMNI channel growth goals in consumption and POS.

Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics:

  • Analyze retail sales performance for in-store and online platforms.
  • Utilize syndicated data to uncover insights and trends.
  • Conduct planogram evaluations and promotional ROI analysis.
  • Perform market and retail audits to identify opportunities.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and manage customer P&L.

Creative Execution:

  • Oversee the execution of planogram updates, including additions and deletions.
  • Manage trade markdowns, trade spending, and promotional/display planning.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth programs to meet retailer OMNI sales and company consumption goals.

Operational & Managerial Oversight:

  • Manage item setups and pricing accuracy.
  • Maintain customer display and promotion trackers.
  • Monitor timelines, due dates, and fixture/display execution.
  • Handle deduction management and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a CPG or SKU-intensive business, preferably in the beauty industry.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer shopping behavior and the ability to create successful online and in-store activations.
  • Proven track record of managing customer accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance strategic vision and tactical execution.
  • Experience in managing planograms, trade spend, and promotional activities.
  • Ability to identify and develop both short- and long-term growth opportunities aligned with company and customer strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Compensation:

The base salary range represents the low and high end of Milani’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to location, education, skills, and experience.
