The Technical Project Manager, part of the Technical Project Management Team, reporting to the Director of Technical Project Management. This role focuses on managing technical projects for Momentum Network Services, including infrastructure-related data circuit implementations and new data point of presence (PoP) installations and migrations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating with carriers and data center providers, ordering equipment, managing deliveries, scheduling resources, conducting data analysis. A comprehensive understanding of the overall objectives of data implementations, along with an in-depth knowledge of the infrastructure components under their purview, is essential. Additionally, this role requires the ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently.Project Responsibilities Specific to this Role:• Manage multiple infrastructure-related projects required to support customer circuit implementations• Adopt to changes in project scope quickly to stay on track and meet deadlines• Manage multiple tasks and efforts, prioritizing with general guidance while showing a significant attention to detail• Manage cross connect orders related to the core network including but not limited to requesting and executing quotes, placing orders, providing required technical information, coordinating install, coordinating and verifying patching, etc.• Build and maintain carrier and vendor relationship and serve as administrator on carrier and vendor portals• Work with internal and external teams to ensure relevant and required information is supplied in a timely manner• Ensure documentation of required technical parameters as well as related paperwork in appropriate internal tools• Manage equipment ordering related to assigned implementations and have technical knowledge of different types of optics and cabling, most used hardware, to be able to make determination of what should be ordered• Work with assigned engineering resources to order, received, stage, and configure new equipment or return existing• Schedule and facilitate rack and stack of hardware with vendor and engineering resources including putting together a Statement of Work• Schedule and facilitate test and turn-up of circuits (Point to Point, OOB, NNIs, IP Uplink, BGP, etc.) with carriers and engineering resources• Coordinate outsourced engineering vendor (Smart Hands) when required• Utilize templates and process documentation to manage assigned projects effectively• Manage and maintain constant verbal and written (email) communication to vendors and internal teams• Contribute to process improvementAmong the soft skills this individual must have or become proficient in to be effective at this position are:• Excellent Organizational Skills• process oriented• maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, project reports,• facilitate meetings• Ability to deal with a wide range of personalities• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build rapport with the management and technical teams within the organization• Excellent ability to multitask• Team player• Adaptability and flexibility• Proactive• Accuracy and attention to detail• Time management capabilities• Capacity to meet milestones and deadlines• Capacity to manage stressful situations• Must have a strong work ethic• Must be or become proficient in utilizing Salesforce, Smartsheet, MS OfficeExperience Required:• Work experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job is required.• Previous experience in project management is preferred.• Previous experience in managing data circuit implementations in preferred.Education Required• A 4-year college degree or demonstrated equivalent experience is required.OtherEmployee must be available to work overtime as required, be able to travel for conferences, seminars, and other off-site functions and must adhere to Company policies and procedures.
