Linux System Middleware/Architect Lead (01486)

DESCRIPTION

 

Responsible for architecting, building and supporting Linux Infrastructure. Create and manage/maintain OS builds, building Linux system standards based on security best practices. Support and develop solutions for the app-dev teams and troubleshoot complex environmental issues. Provide Tier 3 support, key resources in assisting with MRC Audit (Media Ratings Council) for Linux based systems. Provide advanced support of Linux based issues. Architect and design Linux standard and best practices. Participate in Nielsen Infrastructure’s charge to Hybrid Cloud computing leveraging today’s state of the art technology. Participate with Security, Legal, Privacy, and other Infrastructure teams to maintain integrity and security of all Linux devices. Serve as main point of contact for Linux Administrators for onsite hands-on Disaster Recovery for the Oldsmar Data Center that requires spending extended time (including overnight) when required for hurricane preparedness in the Oldsmar area. Additionally, responsible for hands-on support for other remote teams. Responsible for working with the Application Teams to architecture and design Disaster Recovery Solutions May telecommute up to four (4) days per week from within the Oldsmar, FL area. While telecommuting, must be available to travel to Oldsmar, FL office within one (1) hour notice.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in Linux device management. Prior experience must include five (5) years in/with: technical engineering/architecture expertise; maintaining Linux Based Operating systems including: Linux RHEL, CentOS, Management of Digicert SSL Certificate, SSL Code Sign, DNS Addition and Removal, Microsoft Hyper V, Cisco UCS, and RHEL Satelite; administration and management of enterprise Linux computing environments and associated environments including: SAN/NAS hardware; ESX provisioning and management; Okta ASA; and Linux shell scripting and Ansible; project and program management; JIRA; ServiceNow; technology transformations; working with international teams across time zones; and physical server/hardware support. May telecommute up to four (4) days per week from within the Oldsmar, FL area. While telecommuting, must be available to travel to Oldsmar, FL office within one (1) hour notice. M-F, 40 hours a week.
