As a Float Patient Care Technician at Northwestern Medicine, located in Geneva, IL, you’ll play an essential role in our patient-first mission. This part-time position offers a fantastic opportunity for empathetic and dedicated individuals eager to make a difference in healthcare. Your two 12-hour shifts, scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., will require flexibility, especially with every other weekend on duty. In this hands-on role, you'll work under the supervision of registered nurses, performing basic patient care activities that include monitoring vital signs and assisting patients with daily living activities like bathing and grooming. You'll be the eyes and ears of the care team, reporting any changes in patients' conditions and ensuring their rooms remain clean and orderly. This position also calls for strong communication skills, as you’ll frequently interact with patients and their families, keeping everyone informed and comfortable.
