Job Description

The Manufacturing Plant Controller is responsible for the accounting and internal controls in a plant environment. This position also supervises various financial transactions, administers the plant's cost control function, and coordinates the plant's forecasting and budgeting.

The Manufacturing Plant Controller should have: 

  • Knowledge of controlling, including standard cost and manufacturing variance concept
  • Experience providing financial analysis and building business cases
  • Proven ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • A strong desire to work in a manufacturing environment

The Manufacturing Plant Controller will:

  • Be responsible for planning functions, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage the balance sheet and P&L statement preparation
  • Supervise fixed assets of the facility
  • Supervise fixed assets of the facility
  • Execute monthly Sarbanes-Oxley requirements           
  • Ensure accurate reporting of Lean Six Sigma project savings  
  • Be part of the Plant Leadership Team and contribute to integral business decisions

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of related work experience
  • Sarbanes-Oxley experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, and experience with SAP and/or ERP systems preferred 
  • Certified Manufacturing Accountant (CMA) is a plus

What we offer at O-I:

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $115,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus.    Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
