Crypto builders have been held back by a lack of onchain compute — without the ability to process a high volume of transactions quickly and cheaply, onchain apps and ecosystems can’t build high quality user experiences.
Rollups have emerged as the answer to this problem. Just as servers work together to scale compute in web2, so too can rollups scale onchain compute in web3. But building and operating your own rollup is difficult and time-consuming. That's where Conduit comes in.
As the rollup-native cloud platform, Conduit combines web2 engineering best-practices with web3 rollup technology to make it easy for anyone to launch and maintain their own chain. By making infrastructure simple and onchain compute abundant, similar to how AWS and GCP did for web2, we can unlock the next wave of innovation in the crypto ecosystem.
The Conduit platform has seen massive growth since going live in 2023. We run the largest chains in production, including Proof of Play, Zora, Aevo, and more. About the Role
As our first Finance Operations (FinOps) Lead, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the financial backbone of Conduit. You’ll build scalable systems for tracking revenue, manage collections and revenue recognition processes, and lead cross-functional projects like transitioning to consumption-based pricing. This is a hands-on role that blends operational expertise with strategic thinking, directly impacting our growth trajectory. This is a contract to hire position. For the first six months this is a Part-Time contract position. Hours are negotiable, but to start there is a maximum 20 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
Revenue Tracking & Transparency: Design and implement scalable systems to track revenue from multiple sources (e.g., Stripe, manual collections). Integrate data with the CRM for accurate forecasting and account prioritization.
Revenue Recognition & Collections: Own the process for revenue recognition and collections, reducing leakage from failed payments or subscription churn. Implement automated systems to prevent revenue loss and ensure timely collections.
Pricing Strategy: Longer term, lead the transition to consumption-based pricing, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Engineering. Create pricing models that align with infrastructure costs and give us a competitive edge.
Operational Excellence: Establish and refine financial processes that support scaling operations efficiently and sustainably. Lay the foundation for us to become SOC2 compliant in the future.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience running finance operations, accounting, or revenue operations, ideally in SaaS or infrastructure companies.
Experience operating in an early stage startup environment.
Expertise with tools like Stripe, CRMs, and traditional financial reporting applications.
Proven track record in managing revenue recognition and collections processes.
Familiarity with consumption-based pricing models and cross-functional project management.
