You are a well-rounded salesperson who is highly analytical and excels in using data to communicate compelling stories. You have a high attention to detail and love getting into the weeds with data. As a true people partner, you have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and work well with cross-functional teams. You have retail sales category management experience and are eager to thrive at a dynamic, rapidly evolving company.


The Task At Hand:

The Category Manager reports to the Senior Category Manager and is accountable for creating compelling selling tools and using them to support our rapidly growing Grocery, Natural, and Alt Channels business. Key accountabilities will include preparing custom category selling materials across accounts for category reviews, frequently presenting these materials internally and externally (including traveling to customer meetings), and becoming the subject matter expert on the retail landscape for the accounts you support.


In This Role, You Will Focus On:

Category Management: Grocery, Alt, & Natural Channels

• Support our Regional Grocery, Natural Independents, & Alt Channels business.

• Through the analysis of syndicated data, support strategic selling initiatives and develop impactful insights that meet category and retailer-specific needs.

• Employ category management tools to develop customized solutions for distribution space, assortment, and planogram recommendations.

• Create and present account-specific category reviews providing unbiased analysis, interpretation, and recommendations for improving category performance.

• Craft robust fact-based selling stories utilizing syndicated data, retailer-specific POS data, panel data, shopper-card data, and other research.

• Articulate category trends and understand the performance of all accounts.

• Provide monthly scorecards and business updates to drive accountability and engagement across our broker teams.

Special Projects & Initiatives:

• Support the development and implementation of comprehensive category strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

• Support project work as requested by the Sr. Category Manager and Leadership Teams.


In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent years of experience, preferred.

• 3+ years of Retail Sales Category Management experience in the food and/or beverage industry required.

• 5+ years of industry experience in Consumer Packaged Goods/Fast Moving Consumer Goods required.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.

• Advanced knowledge of SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, Panel Data, and Loyalty card data.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills.

• Highly proficient analytical skills.

• Must be able to establish and maintain strong internal and external working relationships.

• Up to 50% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Also, anticipate travel to support retailer meetings.

• Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet.

• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Sales preferred.

• Desire to contribute to a dynamic high-growth, purpose-driven work environment.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity while deeply understanding business needs.

• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position.

Compensation:

• Salaried, Full-Time, Exempt.

• The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$120,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
