Your Career

At Palo Alto Networks, the IT Product Manager role is a critical cornerstone and a strategic differentiator. Diving deep into the product development process, you will be responsible for ensuring we address real market and user needs.As the Senior Product Manager, FinTech you will own and manage the Finance application (SAP Analytics Cloud - SAC).  Using your experience in SAC, you are expected to develop a strategic roadmap and provide solutions for the Finance business function.  You will be partnering with cross-functional teams both on IT and business functions to drive process automation, efficiency, scalability and consistency to support business growth.  In addition, you will also drive project prioritization, project delivery across finance initiatives delivering high business value and in the process foster great partnerships. By partnering with key stakeholders across the finance and other cross functional organizations, applying leading practices, help transform the finance business function to adopt new technologies and drive to be the best in class.With your insights, our IT products will consistently address the evolving challenges of Palo Alto Networks and our industry.

Your Impact

  • Develop FP&A centric SAP Analytics Cloud roadmap, manage deadlines and deliver projects on time with high quality
  • Translate business strategy into SAC product roadmap
  • Design best in class solution to support analytical/reporting activities utilizing SAC
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team to develop integrated SAC solution to support business processes, executing project deliverables, with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency
  • Use data to discover opportunities, track product performance and support decision-making
  • Measure success- Measure everything - A feature release does not indicate success- Define what success means for each feature and each function before it even goes to development- Develop ways to constantly define and monitor success
  • Collaborate across teams- We win or lose as a team- Play a critical role in creating alignment across the cross-functional Leadership team
  • Communicate transparently and efficiently- Coordinate product release communications and drive transformational change for FP&A
  • Possess an acute sense of urgency and is able to resolve project issues and roadblocks throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, by creating products that will make a profound impact on the user

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • Must have minimum of 8 years of experience required in developing SAC products from concept to launch (SAP Analytical/Reporting work streams) 
  • Deep understanding of product management practices and methodologies
  • Must be experience with SAC as a planning tool, creating planning data models and working with categories actual, budget, planning, forecast, rolling forecast
  • Strong finance and cross functional business process, focussed on FP&A
  • Ability to work closely with Process Owners and other key stakeholders
  • Training experience to business users accelerating the tool adoption
  • Successful track record of defining business cases for product roadmap
  • Ability to interact and influence variety of users including process stakeholders, drive adoption of SAC tool across the organization
  • Highly data-driven with a commitment to drive business outcome and value realization
  • Experience in Agile principles - Focus on the business need, Deliver on time, Never compromise quality, Build incrementally from firm foundations, Develop iteratively, Communicate continuously and clearly
  • Experience working with SOX systems and other regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Onsite HQ role, must be local in SF Bay area to be onsite

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $141000 - $229000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
